Pipetronics - A new specialist for pipe rehabilitation robots

Focus on the development of intelligent systems in sewer rehabilitation robotics - the founding took place on 01/01/2016

+++ Rohrbach, 12/11/2015. The two specialist suppliers of sewage robots - RELINEROBOTICS GmbH (Rohrbach, Palatinate) and Pipe-Robo-Tec GmbH & Co. KG (Röthenbach, Franconia) and ITK Engineering AG (Rülzheim, Palatinate), one of the leading German development partners in the area of systems and software engineering, have founded a new company. They aim to coordinate the development and manufacture plus the international sales and distribution of innovative, intelligent pipe rehabilitation robots. This joint venture begun operations on January 1, 2016 under the name of Pipetronics GmbH & Co. KG.

Pipetronics GmbH & Co. KG is jointly headed by Christian Noll and Markus Brechwald. The headquarters of the new company is in Rohrbach, Palatinate. Control and operating components are to be modernised. Today, digitization and automation have already changed broad parts of our day-to-day life - sewage rehabilitation robotics have a large untapped potential. "The vision of Pipetronics is to derive use from the possibilities afforded by digitization and automation in sewage rehabilitation robotics", according to Christian Noll. Sewage rehabilitation robots should be able to act with greater autonomy and carry out tasks independently through technical development from Pipetronics. They also aim to improve human-machine interfaces. "With modernised and simplified control components, we want to make it easier for operators to control robots and set up a completely new user experience", according to Noll.

Expertise from different areas are bundled together

In the new Pipetronics company, the purpose is to bundle the expertise and economic possibilities of the partners involved. "In this way, we can realise considerable synergy effects and can offer our customers practical added value", says Markus Brechwald. "Our aim is to substantially further develop sewage rehabilitation robotics by founding Pipetronics – and the best way to do this is from a broader foundation."

ITK Engineering will be involved in the company as a development partner as well as the two specialists for sewage rehabilitation robotics, RELINEROBOTICS and Pipe-Robo-Tec. "Sewer robotics is an extremely exciting environment where we can apply our expertise in the area of self-sufficient driving and human-machine interaction. We are happy to develop innovative robotics solutions with Pipetronics in terms of automation and digitization and to bring them to the market", says Michael Englert, found and board member of ITK Engineering.

Continuity in service and maintenance

An important part of the services to be offered by the new Pipetronics company is service and maintenance work. In Germany, three service support points (Rohrbach, Röthenbach and Herne) shall assure rapid support for customers and construction sites with repairs plus spare parts and replacement equipment. An additional service point is also located in Switzerland. Further international sites are planned.
