eCUTTER – sewer rehabilitation robot with a high-performance electric motor

Overview

Pipetronics' electrically powered milling robot eCUTTER is a robust and high-performance tool for milling work on deposits, obstructions, cracks and sleeves, as well as to open inflows in pipe liners for pipe diameters of DN150 to DN800. The milling head of the eCUTTER is designed for usage of large milling tools and has an extension distance of up to 160 mm to work deep into lateral pipes. Frontal milling is also supported.

Description – Detail

Quieter, emission-free drive

The eCUTTER can be operated by battery, power generator or vehicle auxiliary drive. In battery operation, with 4 hours of charging time, 4 inserted batteries incl. battery management enable 6 hours of work at full load and an additional 4 hours at reduced performance. The batteries, which can be discharged up to 100%, guarantee up to 2,000 charging procedures and last up to 10 years with one charge per day. Thanks to low rotational speed and high torque, the eCUTTER represents high performance value in continuous operation.

Innovative combo-cable: Electricity-water-air

The newly designed, compact supply unit of the robot includes cables, water tank and aeration unit in a permanently installed frame and can be easily installed in various vehicles. The 48 V electrically powered milling robot is supplied with electricity, water and compressed air via a 100 m long combo-cable. The water supply is used to cool the milling motor while simultaneously rinsing during milling. The combo-cable is mounted in the supply unit and is guided into the shaft by means of a guide arm. A countershaft ensures the smooth course of the cable on the drum.

Filling & grouting system – can also be integrated retroactively

The eCUTTER can be acquired together with the Pipetronics filling & grouting system PI.TRON as a comprehensive solution. As an alternative, the eCUTTER can be upgraded later to add the filling & grouting system.
